One of the most interesting places in Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur. This city is the capital of Malaysia, and is translated as "The City - Garden of Lights". The ancient culture here is side by side with magnificent skyscrapers, and the Kuala Lumpur is surrounded by exotic flowers and greenery.
Populous city with an interesting nightlife attracts many tourists from all over the world. Its parks, bars, discos, restaurants, casinos, historic sites and what not give special flavor to visitors’ rest.
In 1857 in search of tin Chinese miners came to the place which now is Kuala Lumpur city. They pitched settlement of thatched homes, but many miners died from malaria. Nevertheless the work did not cease, and new miners replaced the fallen comrades. By the mid-nineteenth century the Chinese turned the area into a thriving settlement. Over time there appeared a multinational city with developed infrastructure.
Petronas Twin Towers are the heart of the beautiful city. The entire metropolitan cultural and business life is concentrated around them. The height of the towers is 452 meters, and they have 88 floors. At night the towers are luminant from the inside, this produces unrealistic effect. A beautiful park which surrounds the tower is the perfect place to relax. People may enjoy here the wonderful modern architecture.
